Tony Pini Awards Presented to Four Winning Departments at FRI in Atlanta
09-17-11 -- On August 25, FIRE 20/20, along with the Tony Pini Award sponsors and partners, presented the first annual awards for diversity and inclusion in the fire service to Portsmouth, VA; Bainbridge Island, WA; Toronto Fire Services; and Fire Service Women of New York State. The award ceremony--which took place during the IAFC's annual Diversity Breakfast--was attended by more than 100 guests. Special thanks to the 2011 Tony Pini Award sponsors IAFC, Scott Safety, and LION, for their generous support of this new program to honor the efforts of North American fire departments that have excelled with diversity and inclusion initiatives.
