Volunteer and Combo Departments

Volunteer Recruitment and Retention

FIRE 20/20 will work with your department to develop and implement a strategic plan for volunteer recruitment and retention. The strategic plan will include a needs analysis, goals, objectives, tasks, timelines, and measures.

Community Mapping

The purpose of Community Mapping is to help your department to identify your multicultural communities’ service needs and the key stakeholders who will support volunteer recruitment and community risk reduction.

Facilitated Focus Groups

A follow-on service to Community Mapping, FIRE 20/20 will help organize and facilitate focus groups within your department and the community. The focus groups are a springboard for building relationships, as well as a vehicle for assessing customer service, getting support to increase volunteer recruitment, and gaining knowledge for more effective community risk reduction programs.

SAFER Grant Program Evaluation

The current economic conditions can potentially weaken future government funding. Documenting a program’s effectiveness and sustainability has never been more critical. FIRE 20/20 can help volunteer recruitment and retention grantees develop meaningful evaluation criteria at the proposal stage and prepare a comprehensive evaluation at the program’s end.
